CareTransparency turns official U.S. healthcare data into clear, plain-English snapshots for every hospital and nursing home. Our goal is simple: help people understand safety, staffing, and timeliness at a glance.

What we publish

• Hospital pages with emergency room wait times, safety indicators, and nearby faster options.
• Nursing home pages with registered-nurse (RN) staffing and quality/inspection context.
• State pages with top-10 lists and an A–Z directory.
• Periodic reports (e.g., ER waits by state) with downloadable CSVs.

How we compare facilities

Comparisons are made within each state to keep things fair. A hospital is compared to other hospitals in the same state; a nursing home is compared to other nursing homes in the same state. We explain the math in our Methodology.

Updates & sources

We refresh monthly and show “Last updated: August 2025” on every page. Data comes from official federal sources (e.g., CMS/HHS). See Sources for details.

Independence & funding

We do not accept sponsored placements. To keep this public data free, some pages include exactly two ad slots (facility and report pages only). See our Privacy and Disclaimer.
